“One Nation under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all”

I wish I had something profound to say about this week… some words that would make you smile, a quote that would ease the pain. Instead I sit here just as dumbfounded as the rest of the country – just sitting here wondering WHY.

It’s not just Boston, it’s Texas too.  My heart just hurts for these people.. Two different kinds of events, a purposeful attack, and an explosion – both causing so much hurt. so many people needing answers; so many people just heartbroken; so many people trying to put their lives back together.

I just….

I can’t imagine.

My heart just hurts. Friday morning I turned on the news; I never watch the news – I’m incredibly sensitive…to everything. I cry at OnStar commercials (seriously).. The Mayor of West, Texas was being interviewed and my heart..(and my tear ducts) they just exploded with sorrow.

I don’t think the attack on Monday was geared towards runners. I don’t know who, or what it was geared towards. I suppose it feels personal; personal, because it was at a major running event. An event where I knew people running… and in those minutes when we didn’t know if our friends were okay… Man, those were some long minutes. I’m so glad they are okay, and they rejoined the running group for their Saturday long run this morning.

I wasn’t there, but that won’t keep me from stealing their picture Smile

I watched The President speak last night after the capture of the suspect. My favorite part was his last couple of sentences;

All in all, this has been a tough week.  But we’ve seen the character of our country once more.  And as President, I’m confident that we have the courage and the resilience and the spirit to overcome these challenges — and to go forward, as one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.      –President of the United States, Barack Obama

“and to go forward, as one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

That just feels so powerful to me.
