I don’t consider myself to be so co-dependent upon Chris that I can function. But, this was a heckuva long week without him. Did you guess that he was gone and that’s why I’ve been so insane this week?
I can manage with the dogs by myself, but Wyatt gave me a run for my money this week. It would have been a little easier had Chris been home. then HE could get up at 3am and take Wyatt outside. Or he could wrestle with Wyatt go get the triple ointment junk on his tail, and he could yell @ Wyatt every 5 minutes to stop banging his head into the wall, or stop chewing his tail.
This week has been a weird week for eating. I just ate whatever was easiest to make up. One night I boiled some chicken, but I ended up eating a tuna wrap instead. I ate the chicken this week in a wrap, in some pasta, and on a salad. Thursday night for dinner I had pasta with tomato sauce and some brussel sprouts.
Brussel sprouts are such a weird veggie. If you don’t cook them just right they are disgusting. I guess it’s that way with a lot of things – but brussel sprouts are a new thing for me. Last night I “created” (and I use that term very lightly) a yummy brussel sprout side dish.
**preheat oven to 350**
1lb brussel sprouts
2 tbsp olive oil
1. cut end off brussel sprouts, then cut in half
2. put brussels in bowl with olive oil & spices
3. lay out on baking pan & bake for 20-23 minutes until done
TADA – I’m a genius. no, but seriously these were really tasty. I was actually pretty impressed with myself.
BTW, that is a dinner plate, not a salad plate. portion size, smortion size.
Christmas came early for me today. Earlier this week I read about Noodle Huggers on Heidi’s blog, so I checked out the store, A little slice of Awesome on etsy and ordered a few for myself. They arrived at my office today & I was oh-so excited! I’m really loving these type of headbands right now.
Check out the store, A slice of awesome on Etsy – The owner is offereing 20% off orders until Christmas!
and then, I got home, and had another present waiting for me – this actually is an early Christmas present. My Mom got word that I don’t run w/ any ID on me ( I know, bad runner) so I told her I’d wear a roadID. She hopped right on the roadID website and ordered one for me.
I chose the ankle one because I thought the one that attaches to your shoe would be a pain since I have 2 pairs of shoes. It’s a soft neoprene material so hopefully it will flex enough so that it doesn’t bother me when I run.
I have 4, $1 off coupons for a roadID, they can be used online, so I wouldn’t have to mail it out (unless you want it mailed out). If you’d like one shoot me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll send you back the coupon code. —- I really think these are a good idea. I’m to stubborn to carry my license around, and the roadID is an easy way to get around carrying an ID.
Welp, that’s it for tonight. I gotta go get some hugs from my Hubs.
